Ashley & Scott

About

Ashley is the daughter of Michael and Donna (Koester) Blin. She grew up in Marion, IA with her sister and brother. Ashley attended St. Joseph's Catholic School until 3rd grade and then finished her formal education at the Linn-Mar school district. She made many great friends at Linn-Mar, and they will help Ashley celebrate as her bridesmaids. After high school, Ashley headed off to college in Pella, IA. She attended Central College and graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Education. She now teaches Reading, Writing, and Grammar to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in the Cedar Rapids School District.

Scott is the son of Don and Patricia (Witzel) Stronck. He grew up in Council Bluffs, IA with his two brothers, and sister. Scott attended St. Alberts Catholic School until he graduated in 2001. He then went to Iowa Western Community College where he studied accounting. After Iowa Western, Scott headed west and started at University of Nebraska-Omaha. There, he double majored in Business and Marketing. He graduated in 2008, and headed to Dubuque, IA where he worked as a retirement consultant at Prudential. After meeting Ashley, they took turns driving the hour distance to see each other. A year later, Scott moved to Cedar Rapids and began working at TransAmerica as a retirement consultant.
